The 2013 colors are here and we hope you love them as much as we do! This new selection was not only able to bridge some of the gaps we had in our color offerings, but more importantly introduce shades and tones that we have never had before. You are now able to place orders for the following 21 new Matte stocks and 1 gorgeous new metallic:
What is more romantic than that first whisper of springtime? When you see the blossoms on the trees and the sun is warm but the air is brisk. Boise has the most beautiful spring season and I have been so inspired to create something lovely from it. Soft pinks, warm fur, lace, golden sun—-perfection.
Don’t know if you heard the word on the street- but yellow gold is BACK and it’s sexier than ever!! Rockin jewelry, fashion, home decor, and duh- WEDDINGS! Girls are like squirrels…we like shiny things…or are those raccoons? Whatever- gold weddings!!
Here at Dear Ampersand- we are total suckers for paper….don’t get us wrong- but we are totally fans of the informal Save the Date! Let’s get creative and instead of a postcard-maybe send video links out to our family and friends!? Here is one that we created for Dana & Tanner- and you WILL NOT believe how stinkin cute their matching invitations are!! Can’t wait to share:
Yeah, okay, we know- we are a stationery company. Why are we so obsessed with flowers!? Well, first off- we are girls…girls that just love flowers! But on more of a creative level- what better way than to pull wedding inspiration than from nature? The colors and textures that are in these blooms are a great way to help inspire the look and feel for your event- which translates into the look and feel of that initial piece of paper that will be giving that guest the very first insight on the event they will be attending. It all falls hand in hand.
I have to give a shout out to the amazing floral artists that dream up the visions for these arrangements. They are absolutely applause-worthy. Woah.
Love me some red! But when it comes to weddings, it is easy to fall into that “red rose valentines day” look if you aren’t careful. So to avoid making your wedding look like a prom, keep focused on details that are contemporary and balanced. Be careful with incorporating silvers, blacks, and whites. Look for more middle hues like a robin’s egg blue or cornflower to balance out the deepness of red against white.
I was interested in the idea of a berry-themed wedding. And honestly, it started off as more of a summer idea, with the whole “berry pie picnic” nostalgia, but then realizing how beautiful a berry color with fur would be in the winter! So I decided- “hey, why not just show both!?”
So since we are first approaching summer here in Boise, I will start off with that! Bright pops of blues mixed with a more whimsical feel. The berry inspiration is focused more on actual berries, chalkboards, adorable!! (Board by burnettsboards.com)
The second style board is directed for more of a wintertime feel. Lets start with: oh em gee that bouquet!!! Deep berry hues, creams, maybe some dusty grey-browns (think fur). Much more formal than the first board.
